Can You Sleep Overnight at the Airport?

Unlike major 24-hour international hubs, Hollywood Burbank Airport is not open overnight to the traveling public. Under local voluntary noise curfew agreements, commercial flights do not operate during the late night and early morning hours, and the passenger terminal closes each night from roughly 10:00 pm to 5:00 am (or shortly after the final scheduled flight arrives).

Airport police and security staff do not permit travelers to sleep or stay inside the terminal once the facilities are closed for the night. If you have an overnight connection or an early departure, you must arrange overnight lodging at one of the nearby hotels in Burbank, many of which provide complimentary airport shuttle transfers or are a brief rideshare trip away.

There are no 24-hour restaurants, luggage storage lockers, or shower facilities inside the airport terminal. TSA screening checkpoints reopen each morning around 5:00 am. Travelers looking for food or a place to wait during late-night hours outside the airport can find a 24-hour diner situated on Hollywood Way, approximately a 10-minute walk from the terminal entrance.
