Bus

The 737 service, operated by MoreBus (Tel +44 120 233 8420), runs Monday to Friday to Chapel Gate, Parley Cross, Northbourne, Winton, the train station and Bournemouth Square (50 minutes). The line currently has three daily departures (1:35 pm, 4:20 pm and 6:00 pm). To get into town, you need an AB zone ticket, which costs £6.80.

Train

Trainline services (Tel +44 871 244 1545) run from the city centre station to a number of destinations across the country, including London (£25.50) and Southampton (£6.20).

Taxi

PRC Streamline Taxis (Tel +44 120 237 3737) has vehicles for up to 8 passengers outside the Arrivals area. The journey time to the city centre is 10-15 minutes and the fare is £16.00-19.00.

Tips for getting to and from BOH

Going to the airport

  1. Leave earlier than you think you need to: Bournemouth airport is 8 km from Bournemouth. Allow for rush-hour traffic, strikes or events, and check the local news before you go.
  2. On public transportation, check the schedule (weekends and holidays usually have fewer services), whether you need to change lines and how to pay: transit card, contactless or cash.
