Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport, opened on September 2, 1933, is the busiest in the Emilia-Romagna region, in the northeast area of the country. It operates with domestic flights and many international destinations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The airport is located 6 km (3.75 miles) northeast from Bologna and 200 km (125 miles) to the southeast of Milan.

The airport has ATMs, currency exchange bureaus (5:30 am to 0:00 am), meeting rooms, mobile phone services and Wi-Fi access with no charge. The Marconi Business Lounge is found on the first floor, opens from 5:00 am to 8:00 pm and provides privileged access to the boarding area, Wi-Fi, computers, refreshments, drinks, TV, air conditioning, newspapers and magazines, conference facilities, luggage storage (access with Priority Pass, DragonPass or Diners Club membership, through online booking or by paying at the door - €30.00).

Baggage- Plastic wrapping machines on the ground floor, next to the check-in area. 24-hour left luggage service at the security department, on the first floor (temporarily unavailable). Children between 5 and 14 years old travelling alone will be escorted by the airport crew until boarding and then will be supervised by the airline.
