Overnight Stays and Building Hours

Bangor International Airport keeps its main terminal building open 24 hours a day, allowing passengers with overnight layovers or early morning departures to stay inside the facility.

However, overnight stays must take place on the pre-security (landside) side of the terminal, as the TSA security checkpoint closes each evening and reopens at 4:00 a.m. Passengers must wait on landside benches until the checkpoint opens in the morning.

Late-Night Amenities

Food concessions and gift shops close in the late afternoon or early evening (typically around 5:00 p.m.) and do not operate overnight. Free Wi-Fi remains active 24/7. Travelers staying overnight are advised to bring a light jacket due to air conditioning, or reserve a room at the Bangor Aviator Hotel connected via the enclosed walkway.
