Operating Hours and Overnight Stays

The Joseph M. McDade Terminal Building remains open 24 hours a day, allowing passengers with early departures or delayed late arrivals to wait inside. However, after the final commercial flight of the evening, the TSA security checkpoint closes, restricting access to the airside concourse. Travelers spending the night must remain in the landside public area on Level 1 until security screening reopens at 4:00 am.

Resting Areas

There are no sleep cabins or quiet rest zones inside the terminal. Benches in the public hall have fixed armrests and the floor is hard, so bringing warm layers, blankets, or a sleeping bag is essential if you plan to sleep.

Overnight Food and Drinks

Food concessions close overnight. During early morning hours, only automated vending machines offering cold drinks and light snacks are available on Level 1.

Baggage

No luggage storage or lockers are provided due to TSA security guidelines, so you must keep all bags with you at all times until airline check-in opens.

Security and Wi-Fi

Free, unlimited Wi-Fi is accessible 24 hours a day, and the terminal is patrolled continuously by officers from the airport's Department of Public Safety.
