Covid-19: Regulations for travel to Bulgaria

Vaccinations and travel rules for vaccinated people

Travelers presenting a valid international certificate for full COVID-19 vaccination, using an approved vaccine, are exempt from pre-departure testing requirements. The final dose must have been administered at least 14 days prior to departure.

EU COVID digital certificate

It is mandatory to submit medical certificate / proof

Upon arrival, proof of a negative PCR test must be presented, taken within the previous 72 hours. Alternatively, a negative rapid antigen test can be presented, taken within 48 hours of arrival. Instead, travelers can provide documentation of having recovered from COVID-19. This will require proof of a positive PCR or rapid antigen test result, taken within at least 11 days and no more than 180 days prior to arrival. Arrivals without health documentation must be quarantined for 10 days. This period may be shortened if a PCR or antigen test is performed within 72 hours of arrival and a negative result is confirmed and presented to the director of the respective regional health inspection.
