Ruben Berta International Airport, opened in 1945, serves the city of Uruguaiana, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul. It is an airport of great strategic international commercial importance, as it is located equidistant from the cities of Porto Alegre (Brazil), Montevideo (Uruguay), Buenos Aires (Argentina) and Asunción (Paraguay).
