Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area

Spending the night at the airport
Sydney airport closes for a few hours at night. However, if you have a ticket for the next morning, the security staff will let you spend the night inside a waiting area situated in Terminal 1. Have some warm clothes prepared, as the place can get pretty cold.
Where to rest: Most seats inside the enclosure have armrests. In particular, the waiting area designated for layover passengers is poorly equipped and has very few benches. There are several VIP lounges inside the terminals if you want to enjoy more amenities. If you wish for a longer rest, there are a couple of hotels situated in front of the terminals.
Baggage: In Terminal 1, there is a left luggage service, but it is currently unavailable.
Eating and drinking: Inside the designated waiting area of Terminal 1, there is a vending machine.
Restrooms: Showers available in Terminal 1 and the VIP lounges.
Wi-Fi: No charge and unlimited.
