Requirements to Rent a Vehicle

To rent a car at Riga Airport, you will generally need to meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum age: You must be at least 21 years old (the age may vary depending on the vehicle category, and some companies apply an additional charge for drivers under 25).
  • Driving licence: You must present a valid driving licence held for at least one year. If your licence is not in the Latin alphabet, you may need an International Driving Permit (IDP).
