Transfer to/from - Recife airport (REC)

Recife International Airport enjoys a prime location within the urban area, providing quick access to the city's main points of interest. It stands out as one of the few terminals in Brazil with a direct, climate-controlled connection to the metropolitan rail system.

Metro (CBTU)

The airport is directly connected to the Aeroporto Station on the South Line (Blue) via a covered and secure pedestrian walkway approximately 500 meters (1,640 feet) long. Access to the walkway is located on the first floor (Departures Level), in front of the check-in area.

Routes: Trains heading toward Recife Station take you to the historic city center, where you can connect with the Central Line (toward Jaboatão or Camaragibe). In the opposite direction, trains run to Cajueiro Seco.

Hours: The service operates daily from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm.

Fare: A single ticket costs R$ 4.25 and can be purchased at the station's ticket counters.

Ride-Hailing Apps

Uber and 99 services operate normally. Due to traffic regulations at the airport, the pickup area is strictly separated from the drop-off area.

Pickup Location: To meet your driver, you must go to the Ground Floor. The pickup area is located at the northern end of the terminal, accessible through doors A1 or A2. Drivers are prohibited from picking up passengers on the upper level (Departures).

Taxis

Taxi service is available 24 hours a day. Vehicles are located outside the arrivals area on the ground floor.

Special Taxis (Coopseta): These taxis offer higher-category vehicles and operate with fixed fares based on designated zones. You can arrange the service and pay in advance at the official counters inside the arrivals hall, guaranteeing the price regardless of traffic conditions.

Regular Taxis: These are conventional white taxis that operate with a taximeter. They are located in the outer taxi queue and are usually more economical for short trips, although the final fare will depend on urban traffic conditions.

Estimated Travel Times:

• Boa Viagem (Hotel Zone): 10 to 15 minutes.
• Recife Antigo (Downtown): 30 to 45 minutes.
• Olinda: 50 to 70 minutes.

Buses

Several lines operated by the metropolitan public transportation system (Grande Recife) stop in front of the terminal. Route 033 (Aeroporto/TI Tancredo Neves) and Route 042 (Aeroporto - Opcional) are the most commonly used services for connecting to the integrated transit terminals and the southern area of the city.
