Covid-19: Regulations for travel to Nigeria

International travel to Nigeria is allowed. You need to meet the requirements to ensure entry is allowed. Vaccinations and travel rules for vaccinated people Travelers who present a valid international certificate for full vaccination against COVID-19, using an approved vaccine, are exempt from isolation requirements. The final dose must have been administered at least 14 days prior to departure. Accepted vaccines include 2 full doses of Astra Zeneca, Pfizer, or Moderna vaccines, or a single dose of Johnson and Johnson vaccine. Quarantine is in effect upon arrival Travelers must self-isolate for 7 days upon arrival. A PCR test will be administered on day 7 and those who test negative will come out of isolation. It is mandatory to submit medical certificate / proof Proof of a negative PCR test, taken within the previous 48 hours, must be provided upon departure. Test is done upon arrival A PCR test will be administered on day 2 after arrival. Travelers must prepay for the exam through the Nigeria International Travel Portal prior to departure. Other medical measures All passengers are subject to health checks on departure and arrival, such as temperature checks and visual evaluation. More health tests may be required for those showing symptoms of COVID-19. Additional documents required Travelers must register their trip on the Nigeria International Travel Portal prior to departure and complete the online health declaration form. During this process, travelers must upload negative results from their PCR tests and prepay for post-arrival tests. An access report with a QR code will be sent via email once all 3 requirements are completed. Travelers must present a hard copy or electronic copy of the access report prior to boarding and upon arrival.  Tips before departing

  Make sure you arrive at Lagos airport (LOS) at least 3 hours before the flight if it is an international flight or 2 if it is a domestic one.

  Check the luggage limits (size, weight, items forbidden, etc) with your airline.

  Have all the documentation to carry out the check in (ticket, passport, Visa).

  Check the  Transportation available towards the Lagos airport (LOS) and the Terminal where you depart. If you arrive at the airport by car check the airport   Parking facilities.

  Check the   Facilities and Lounges (if there are) within the airport grounds, to organize your waiting.

  At the check-in desk (if necessary) you can check the big baggage, show your ticket (printed or in your phone) and passport and receive your boarding pass. In case you do not need to check a luggage, some airports have self-service check in kiosks where you can get and print your boardking pass.

  Then, at the security control area, if you bring a laptop or a similar device, in you cabin luggage, you will have to place it outside the hang bag. After passing the security area you will get in at the boarding zone. Check you boarding gate and wait the airline call, always having in hand your passport and boarding pass.

  If you are a handicapped passenger, you should coordinate your trip with your airline at least 48 hours in advance and check the  Disabled Passengers facilities. Enjoy your flight!
