Kuala Lumpur Airport offers one of the most extensive lounge networks in Southeast Asia, with facilities located both in the satellite buildings serving long-haul international flights and in the regional and domestic terminals.

Terminal 1

Malaysia Airlines Golden Lounge: The airport features three versions of this lounge: the Satellite lounge (open 24 hours on the Mezzanine Level), the Regional lounge (at the Contact Pier, from 5:00 am to 12:00 am) and the Domestic lounge (Level 3, from 5:00 am to 12:00 am). Facilities include Malaysian and international buffet meals, showers, a rest area, prayer rooms, high-speed Wi-Fi and business services. Access: First Class and Business Class passengers travelling with Malaysia Airlines and Oneworld alliance carriers; Enrich Gold/Platinum members and Oneworld Emerald or Sapphire status holders.

Plaza Premium Lounge: Located in the Contact Pier on Level 2, close to Gate G. Open 24 hours with a maximum stay of 2 or 3 hours. Amenities include showers, workstations, snacks, beverages and Wi-Fi. Access: Priority Pass, LoungeKey, DragonPass and Diners Club members, or by advance online booking.

Travel Club Lounge: Located in the satellite building near Gates C11-C17. Open 24 hours with a maximum stay of 3 hours. Features a bar, hot snacks, comfortable sofas and runway views. Access: Priority Pass, LoungeKey and DragonPass members.

Sky Suite Airport Lounge: Situated next to Gate C5 in the satellite building. Open around the clock and allowing stays of up to 3 hours. Includes shower facilities, newspapers, television and a snack buffet. Access: Priority Pass, LoungeKey and DragonPass.

Sphere Lounge: Located in the lobby of the Sama-Sama Hotel, connected by a skybridge. Offers an à la carte menu, drinks, newspapers, showers, television and Wi-Fi. Available from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm. Access: Priority Pass, LoungeKey and DragonPass members.

Global Lounge: Satellite Building, near Gates C11-C17. Offers a wide selection of hot and cold meals, beverages and shower facilities. Access: Pay at the door.

KLIA Premier Access: Level 5, adjacent to Security Gates A-B, open from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm. Features Wi-Fi and a varied selection of drinks. Access: Pay at the door.

Terminal 2

Plaza Premium Lounge: Located on Level 2M of the gateway@klia2 shopping centre (public area). Open 24 hours with showers, food and Wi-Fi. Access: Priority Pass, LoungeKey, DragonPass and Diners Club.

Travel Club Lounge: One lounge is located on Level 3 of the satellite building (Sector 6) and another near Gate L8. Both operate 24 hours a day and offer workspaces, showers, buffet service and a bar. Access: Priority Pass, LoungeKey and DragonPass memberships.

Sama-Sama Express Lounge: Situated in the international satellite building (transit area), Level 3. Open 24 hours and ideal for connecting passengers seeking shower facilities and buffet service without leaving the airside area. Access: Pay at the door or through reservations made by transit hotel guests.

Sky Suite Airport Lounge: Located on Level 3 of the public departures area, next to the check-in counters. Open 24 hours. Access: Priority Pass, LoungeKey and DragonPass.

 Facilities and other services

The airport offers an extensive range of commercial facilities and technical assistance services designed to meet the needs of international and business travellers throughout their stay within the airport complex.

Finance and Connectivity

Currency exchange: Numerous bureaux de change operate 24 hours a day in the arrivals and departures areas of both terminals.

Cash machines: Available on all levels of the airport.

Wi-Fi: Free internet access is available throughout the airport via the official airport network.

Mobile services: Kiosks operated by Malaysia's main mobile providers offer local SIM cards.

Dining

The dining options are extremely varied and include Malaysian and international restaurants, speciality coffee shops, bars, bakeries and global fast-food chains. There are 24-hour options available throughout both terminals, in both the public (landside) and boarding (airside) areas.

Shopping

Both terminals function as major shopping centres. Travellers will find duty-free shops, luxury fashion and accessories stores, perfumeries, cosmetics, electronics, local handicrafts, books, magazines and convenience stores. The gateway@klia2 shopping centre, integrated into Terminal 2, offers an extended shopping experience with international and local brands.

Baggage

Trolleys: Available free of charge in the arrivals and departures levels, as well as in the parking areas.

Baggage wrapping: A luggage protection service is available 24 hours a day on Level 5 of Terminal 1 and Level 3 of Terminal 2.

Left luggage: Twenty-four-hour baggage storage facilities are available on Level 3 of Terminal 1 (Arrivals Hall) and on Level 2 of Terminal 2.

Lost and found: Assistance offices operate around the clock. In Terminal 1 they are located on Level 2, while in Terminal 2 they are situated on Level 3, next to Check-in Counter Z. Contact by email: [email protected].

The airport features 24-hour medical clinics and pharmacies, clearly signposted prayer rooms (surau) for men and women, children's entertainment areas, charging stations for electronic devices, spas, massage services, smoking rooms and complimentary showers in designated transit areas.
