Which VIP lounges are at Honiara Airport (HIR) and how to access them
The airport offers comfort options for passengers seeking an exclusive space before their flight, particularly following the opening of the new international terminal facilities in 2023.
Solomon Airlines Belama Club Lounge
This lounge is located in the international departures area, after security and immigration checks. Its operating hours are aligned with the departure times of the national carrier’s international flights.
Services: Guests can enjoy a selection of sandwiches, snacks and beverages (including both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options), high-speed Wi-Fi, television, reading materials, air conditioning, showers, and relaxation areas with ergonomic seating.
Access:
- Passengers travelling in Business Class with Solomon Airlines.
- Members of the Belama Club frequent flyer programme (Gold and Pink tiers).
- Subject to lounge capacity, entry is permitted by purchasing a day pass directly at the entrance desk.
- Passengers of partner airlines with reciprocal agreements (it is recommended to check with the airline prior to travel).
Note: As the airport handles a limited number of daily international flights, the lounge typically opens approximately two to three hours before each scheduled departure.
