Ride-sharing Services
Uber operates regularly at the airport. Once you have collected your luggage and entered the public arrivals hall, you can request a ride through the app, setting the terminal as your pickup point. Pickups take place on the outer curb outside the arrivals level (ground floor). For your safety, always verify that the license plate, vehicle make, and driver match the information shown in the app before entering the vehicle. Typical fares to Zone 10, Zone 9, or Zone 13 range between Q25 and Q50 (USD 3.50 to 6.50), depending on traffic and dynamic demand.

Authorized Taxis
To ensure a safe and reliable transfer, it is recommended to use the official taxi operators, primarily Taxis Amarillo Express and Taxis Mariscal. You will find ticketing and dispatch counters inside the arrivals hall before exiting onto the street. The journey to Zone 10 (Zona Viva), Zone 14, Zone 9, or the historic city center takes on average 20 to 35 minutes and typically costs between Q75 and Q95 (USD 10 to 13).

Tourist Shuttles and Minivans
Authorized tourist transportation and private transfer companies such as Turansa, Atitlan Tour, and Adrenalina Tours, along with shuttle providers including Marvelus Travel and Coban Travels, operate direct trips and shared minivans from the airport to popular destinations across the country: Antigua Guatemala, Panajachel (Lake Atitlán), Chichicastenango, Monterrico Beach, Quetzaltenango, Cobán, and the Copán archaeological site in Honduras. Shared shuttles to Antigua Guatemala cost on average USD 15 to 18 per passenger (taking approximately 1 hour to 1 hour and 45 minutes), while private transfers range between USD 40 and 60 per vehicle.

Public Transportation and Transmetro
Line 13 of the Transmetro BRT network connects Zone 13 with central areas such as Plaza España, Plaza de la República, and the Historic Center (Tipografía station). The closest stop to the terminal (Aeropuerto / Plaza Argentina station) is located along Avenida Hincapié and Boulevard San Juan Pablo II, approximately 350 to 400 meters on foot outside the airport grounds. The fare is Q1.00 using a prepaid municipal transport card. It is not recommended for passengers traveling with large or heavy suitcases due to the walking distance and limited storage onboard.
