Guatemala Airport offers two VIP lounge options in its international departures area, designed to provide comfort, connectivity, and dining options before boarding.

Casa del Ron Airport (Zacapa Lounge)

Location: International departures area (north wing), approximately 100 meters after passing through the security and passport control checkpoints, between Gates 6 and 7. The entrance is located on the upper level and is accessible from the liquor store.

Hours: Daily from 3:30 am to 9:00 pm.

Services: Air-conditioned lounge featuring a design inspired by the country's rum-making tradition, sofas and relaxation areas, Wi-Fi, television screens, and accessible facilities for passengers with reduced mobility. It offers a bar service with cocktails and Guatemalan rums (up to a maximum of 3 complimentary alcoholic drinks per cardholder), as well as complimentary light snacks and typical local products for purchase.

Conditions and access: Priority Pass, LoungeKey, and Diners Club members (digital cards accepted). Free admission for children under 1 year old when accompanied by an adult. No specific dress code applies. Smoking is prohibited throughout the lounge (including vaping and electronic cigarettes).

Copa Club

Location: International departures area, immediately to the left after passing through the security checkpoint, adjacent to Gate 14.

Hours: Daily from 3:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Services: Air-conditioned environment for relaxation or executive work, Wi-Fi, television screens, operational assistance at the front desk, and a business center equipped with individual workstations and complimentary printers. Complimentary light snacks, coffee, soft drinks, and standard house alcoholic beverages are available (premium spirits are available for an additional charge).

Conditions and access: Passengers traveling in business class on Copa Airlines or Star Alliance partner airlines; Star Alliance Gold status members; ConnectMiles members (Gold, Platinum, and Presidential Platinum tiers); holders of United Club, Air Canada Maple Leaf Club, Priority Pass, LoungeKey, or Diners Club memberships; as well as single-visit passes available for purchase (subject to availability). Smart casual attire is required at all times. Membership holders must be over 18 years old, alcoholic beverages are restricted to guests over 21, and children under 2 years old enter free when accompanied by an adult.

 Facilities and other services

The airport offers passengers a wide range of commercial, financial, and assistance services distributed throughout the public areas and the restricted departures area.

Financial Services and Connectivity

The terminal has ATMs from the country's main banking networks, accessible both on the departures level and in the arrivals hall. It also has currency exchange branches (such as Global Exchange) with continuous hours linked to flight operations, free Wi-Fi access in the various lounge areas, and telecommunications kiosks in the arrivals area where passengers can purchase prepaid SIM cards and local data packages.

Dining

The terminal has restaurants, bars, and cafés located throughout the fourth-floor food court, which was renovated in December 2024 with new furnishings and an updated sound system. At Gate 7 in the international departures area, Guaco Café operates as an Anacafé venue dedicated to Guatemalan coffee, offering tastings, local products, and a three-dimensional photographic mural.

Shopping and Duty-Free Stores

Duty-free stores are located in the international area after the security checkpoints, offering a wide selection of perfumes, cosmetics, liquor, tobacco, and confectionery products. The terminal also stands out for its varied selection of Guatemalan handicrafts, traditional textiles, travel souvenirs, packaged whole-bean specialty coffee, and fine jewelry made from jade, as well as convenience stores offering newspapers and last-minute travel essentials.

Baggage Handling and Protection

Baggage wrapping and protective plastic-wrapping services are available in the main check-in hall (departures) to protect suitcases before they are checked in at the counter. In the event of damaged, delayed, or lost baggage, you should immediately go to the baggage service office of the relevant airline, located in the same baggage claim area before the customs checkpoint.

Health and First Aid

For emergencies or unexpected health issues, the terminal has a first-aid medical unit staffed by airport medical personnel. There is also a pharmacy in the terminal building where passengers can purchase over-the-counter medications and personal care products.
