Spending the night inside the airport
El Eden Airport terminal is open 24 hours a day, which means that passengers who have an early morning flight or whose flight is cancelled can stay inside the airport for the night.
Where to rest: The main building is small and there are not many places to rest. The seats are generally uncomfortable, so the best option is usually to lie on the floor. It is advisable, therefore, to have a sleeping bag and a travel pillow for a better rest. On the other hand, there is a VIP lounge inside the terminal, which offers greater comfort and privacy, and is open 24 hours a day. There are several hotels nearby, some of which are listed below.
Baggage: There are no left-luggage services at this time.
Eating and drinking: Shops close at night, so be prepared with something to eat and drink beforehand.

Tips for a long layover
- Check whether you can leave the airport: it depends on your nationality, the visa rules of Colombia and whether your bags are checked through.
- If you sleep airside, you will usually need a boarding pass for a flight that day. Ask your airline before you go through security.
- A lounge with day access can be cheaper than a hotel for a few hours: see VIP lounges at AXM.
- Keep your valuables with you, set an alarm and carry a light layer: terminals are often cold at night.
