To hire a car at Sochi Airport, the following basic requirements generally apply:
- Minimum age: Most agencies require drivers to be at least 21 years old (some raise this limit to 25 for luxury categories). Drivers under 25 usually pay an additional "young driver" fee.
- Driving licence: It must be valid and held for at least 1 or 2 years. Foreign citizens are required to present an International Driving Permit along with their original national licence.
- Identification: Valid passport.
- Credit card: A credit card in the name of the main driver is required to place a security deposit hold. Debit cards or cash payments are generally not accepted for the security deposit.
