St. John's International Airport, opened on January 8, 1952, serves the Newfoundland and Labrador region with domestic and international flights to the United States, the Caribbean, Mexico and United Kingdom.

The airport has ATMs, plugs for electric devices and free Wi-Fi access. The Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounge is situated on level 2, between gates 2 and 3, and opens from 4:00 am to 10:30 pm; it offers light snacks and drinks, reading material, Wi-Fi, workstations (accessible with Air Canada Maple Leaf Club or United Club membership, business class passengers from Air Canada, Altitude Elite and Super Elite members, first or business class passengers from Star Alliance airlines, Star Alliance Gold members).

Food and Drinks- Restaurants and coffee shops on the first floor and the Departures Hall. Tim Hortons is open 24 hours a day.
Shopping- There is a duty-free store in the Departures lounge, in addition to shops selling gifts, souvenirs, books, newspapers and magazines, handicrafts, electronics.
Baggage- The lost and found office is situated in the Security Operations Centre, on the main floor of the terminal, and operates around the clock (Tel +1 709 758 8509).

Bus - Line 14 from Metrobus (Tel +1 709 722 9400) connects the airport with different popular destinations in St. John's, including Eastern Health, Marine Institute and Memorial University. It operates Mondays through Fridays between 6:50 am and 10:20 pm and weekends from 7:50 am to 4:50 pm. More information

Taxi - Outside the Arrivals area there are cabs from City Wide Taxi (Tel +1 709 722 7777) that operate with fixed fares. Journey time to the city centre is 15-20 minutes.

 

Three parking areas for long and short stays inside the grounds. Payment can be made at automatic machines located in the Arrivals and Departures Halls or at the exit from each lot. There is also a free passenger drop-off zone in front of the terminal. Prices

Short-Term - For stays of up to 2 hours, directly opposite the main building.
Long-Term - Car park with no time restrictions behind the previous sector.
Gold Pass Parking - Premium area next to the west end of the terminal.

 

Facilities include ramps, automatic doors, adapted telephones and restrooms, reserved parking spaces, Braille signage, accessible drinking fountains. Wheelchairs available by previous reservation from the individual airlines.
