The airport is located approximately 20 minutes by road from downtown San Juan.

Public Buses

Bus line 322 by RedTulum directly connects the terminal with Colonia Fiorito, Villa del Parque, Centro Cívico, and downtown San Juan (Bus Terminal and Córdoba Station). Buses depart every 40 minutes between 6:45 am and 9:47 pm.

Taxis and Remises

An official government taxi stand operates outside the terminal's main entrance (inquiries at +54 264 422 7694 / 423 1825). Private chauffeured cars (remises) can also be booked through Remises Movimientos, which has a desk in the arrivals hall.

Ride-Hailing and Private Transfers

App-based rides and pre-arranged private transfers pick up passengers in the designated area in front of the main terminal entrance.

Tips for getting to and from UAQ

Going to the airport

  1. Leave earlier than you think you need to: San Juan airport is 15 km from San Juan. Allow for rush-hour traffic, strikes or events, and check the local news before you go.
  2. On public transportation, check the schedule (weekends and holidays usually have fewer services), whether you need to change lines and how to pay: transit card, contactless or cash.
  3. If you booked a shared shuttle, keep the company's phone number at hand in case the pickup is late.
  4. Returning a rental car? Follow the signs to the rental car return area. If you drive your own car, check parking at UAQ.

Leaving the airport

  2. Arriving late at night? Not every bus or train runs 24 hours: check the last departure in advance. Ride-hailing apps usually pick up at a designated zone, not at the curb.
  3. With a private transfer, the driver usually waits in the arrivals hall with a sign with your name.
