General Requirements for Renting a Vehicle
To rent a vehicle at the airport offices, it is important to meet a series of standard requirements usually requested by the companies:
- Minimum Age: Generally, the driver must be at least 21 years old. Some companies may require a minimum age of 23 or 25 for certain vehicle categories, or apply a surcharge for young drivers (under 25 years old).
- Driving Licence: A valid driving licence is required, issued at least one or two years earlier (depending on the company and the vehicle category). For non-EU citizens, an International Driving Permit may be required along with the original licence.
- Credit Card: A credit card in the name of the main driver is required to leave a security deposit. Debit cards are generally not accepted for this purpose.
- Identity Document: A valid identity document, such as a national ID card or passport, must be presented.
- Confirmed Booking: Although not mandatory, it is highly recommended to bring a copy of the booking (printed or digital) to speed up the vehicle collection process.

- Make sure your driver's license is valid in the destination country. Some countries also require an International Driving Permit (IDP). Keep in mind that the IDP is not valid on its own: it must always be carried together with your national driver's license.
