Buses

The bus service is an economical and efficient option to reach and leave Split Airport. Several routes connect the airport with Split and other nearby towns.

Local Buses

The local company Promet Split operates the following routes:

Route 37: Connects the airport with Split and Trogir.
Route 38: To Kaštel Stari and Split.

Buses depart approximately every 20 minutes. The journey time to Split city centre is about 50 minutes, with a fare of €2.00. Shuttle Bus

Pleso Prijevoz offers a direct shuttle bus service to Split’s main bus terminal. Buses usually depart 30–40 minutes after flight arrivals. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Tickets can be purchased directly on the bus or at the company’s counter at the airport. Fare: €8.00.

Ferry and Catamaran

For those wishing to continue their journey by sea or reach the islands, Split Airport offers connections with ferry and catamaran services.

Catamaran Routes

Companies such as Adriatic Express offer on-demand sea transfers from the airport or the city to various island and coastal destinations, including Ciovo, Trogir, Solta, Vis, Hvar, Brač, and more.

Taxis

Taxis are available outside the Arrivals Hall during flight operating hours. The journey to Split city centre takes around 30 minutes. It is recommended to confirm the fare with the driver before starting the trip. Several taxi operators can be found in the area.

Tips for getting to and from SPU

Going to the airport

Leave earlier than you think you need to: Split airport is 20 km from Split. Allow for rush-hour traffic, strikes or events, and check the local news before you go.
On public transportation, check the schedule (weekends and holidays usually have fewer services), whether you need to change lines and how to pay: transit card, contactless or cash.
If you booked a shared shuttle, keep the company's phone number at hand in case the pickup is late.
Returning a rental car? Follow the signs to the rental car return area. If you drive your own car, check parking at SPU.

Leaving the airport

After baggage claim and customs, follow the ground transportation signs. The arrivals page has a step-by-step guide.
Arriving late at night? Not every bus or train runs 24 hours: check the last departure in advance. Ride-hailing apps usually pick up at a designated zone, not at the curb.
With a private transfer, the driver usually waits in the arrivals hall with a sign with your name.
