Seve Ballesteros-Santander Airport, also known as Parayas Airport and opened on August 8, 1977, is the busiest in the region of Cantabria. It operates with domestic and international flights within Europe and Morocco.

The airport is situated in the city of Camargo, 5 km (3 miles) to the south of Santander.

Public and private transportation

Bus - Transportes de Cantabria (Tel +34 942 211 995) operates a service between the airport and Santander bus station. It leaves every 30 minutes from outside the Arrivals area, between 6:40 am and 11:00 pm. Journey time is approximately 15 min. and the fare is €1.30.
ALSA (Tel +34 902 422 242) provides transportation to different locations in Northern Spain, such as Bilbao, Gijón, Oviedo and Laredo. Tickets can be acquired at the automatic machine situated in the Arrivals Hall.

Taxi - Ranks are located in front of the Arrivals Hall. Extra charges are applied in night hours (10:00 pm to 6:00 am), on the weekends and holidays. Operators at the enclosure are Radio-Taxi Santander (Tel +34 942 333 333) and Tele Taxi (Tel +34 942 369 191) and the trip to the city centre takes 15-20 minutes.

Services for passengers with special needs

Reserved parking spaces. Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs during their stay at the airport are advised to inform their airline or travel agent about their needs at the moment of booking or at least 48 hours in advance. Children between 5 and 12 years old travelling alone will be escorted by the airline staff.
