 How to arrive from the airport to the city

Metro Bus services (Tel 311) stop approximately every 5 minutes on the road opposite the airport. They operate between 4:00 am and 8:00 pm and cost USD0.25 to any destination (you need to acquire a pre-paid card before leaving the airport terminal). They run to Tocumen, 24 de Diciembre, Paso Blanco, Felipillo, Pacora and Chepo, and journey time to downtown Panama City is 1 hour. Routes

 How to get to the Metromall?

The Panama tourist authority offers free transfers every 30-60 minutes to and from the Metromall shopping centre, about 15 min. away from the grounds. They operate Mondays through Fridays between 10:00 am and 5:00 pm and Sundays from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. More information: Tel +507 238 3734.

In the Arrivals area, there is a tourist taxi service (the only cabs you can board at the enclosure) with fixed fares. Vehicles can be private or shared. The trip to the city centre takes approximately 30 minutes and costs USD30.00.

Transportation Tips to/from the airport

While there are issues that seem more than obvious, it is always advisable to take into account when moving from or to the airport, and especially if you go on some public transport.
 1- To the airport - It is convenient to go out with a little more anticipation than you would commonly suggest. If you choose a taxi or a private car service, always keep in mind peak transit times, demonstrations, strikes or events that may take more or less the trip to the airport from where you are. It is always good to be informed about what happens in the place where you find yourself.
If you have a shared transfer service, please have a contact Tel in case of any delay on the part of the company. In these cases, a scheduled collection schedule is already in tenter.
If you are using public transport (bus, train), have the schedules (weekends and holidays usually have fewer frequencies), if you have to transfer and also how to board (if you need a card or boarding pass or paying at the moment to the driver or rider).
