Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, all regular services and hours may be subject to change. Thus, if the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are close to boarding.
Spending the night at the airport
Gran Canaria airport is open 24 hours a day, it is safe and generally quiet to spend the night. The terminal can become pretty cold, so it is recommended to have a sleeping bag or blankets.
Where to rest: Inside the enclosure there are numerous padded benches with no armrests. Another option is to enter the airport's VIP room, where you can access more amenities and privacy, although it closes at night and the maximum stay is 4 hours. On the other hand, some hotels in the vicinity offer shuttle services.
Baggage: There is no left-luggage service. This means you will have to keep your bags with you until check-in.
Eating and drinking: There is a coffee shop and a fast food outlet on the first floor that remain open throughout the night.
Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, children's play areas, prayer room, first aid clinic, nursing room.
The enclosure does not have accommodations, but there are reservation desks in the Arrivals area.
