Kathmandu airport (KTM)

Tribhuvan International Airport, opened on 15 June 1955, connects Nepal to the rest of the world, as the rest of the country's airports only operate domestic flights. However, a new international airport (Nijgadh International Airport) is planned for 2025. It operates domestic flights and several destinations in Southeast Asia, the Far East and the Middle East.

Number of Terminals - 2 - International Terminal and Domestic Terminal, open from 6:30 am to 0:30 am and connected by free shuttle buses every 20 minutes.

Annual passenger traffic: 5 million passengers went through it in 2021.

There is an information office in the Departures Hall and a tourist information centre on the ground floor.

The airport is situated 6 km (3.7 miles) east of Kathmandu city.
