Transfer to/from - Seoul Incheon airport (ICN)

Incheon Airport features a highly efficient intermodal transport infrastructure connecting the terminals with Seoul and the rest of the country through high-speed trains, express buses and specialised taxi services.

Trains

The A'REX (Airport Railroad Express) service operates from level B1 of the Ground Transportation Centre in both terminals. There are two types of service:

• Express Train: Travels non-stop from Terminal 1 (43 minutes) and Terminal 2 (51 minutes) to Seoul Station. It offers reserved seating and onboard Wi-Fi. It operates approximately between 5:15 am and 10:50 pm.
• All-stop Train: Stops at 14 intermediate stations, including Gimpo Airport, Digital Media City and Hongik University. Total journey time to Seoul Station is around 59 minutes from T1 and 66 minutes from T2. It operates more frequently between 5:20 am and 11:50 pm.

In addition, the airport is connected to the national KTX high-speed rail network via Seoul Station, allowing fast transfers to cities such as Busan, Daegu and Gwangju.

Buses

An extensive bus network connects the airport with various districts of Seoul and the country’s main provinces. Services are divided into:

• Limousine Buses: Premium vehicles (Standard or Deluxe) offering direct routes to Seoul’s main hotels and tourist districts (Gangnam, Myeong-dong, Jamsil). Estimated journey time to the city centre is between 60 and 80 minutes, depending on traffic.
• Late-Night Buses: Operate between midnight and 4:00 am, with specific routes to Seoul Station, Gangnam and Yeongdeungpo Station, providing transport for early morning flights.
• Intercity Buses: Direct connections to regions such as Gyeonggi, Gangwon, Chungcheong, Gyeongsang and Jeolla.

Ticket sales: In Terminal 1, ticket counters and self-service machines are located near exits 4, 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 13 (ground floor). In Terminal 2, tickets can be purchased at the Ground Transportation Centre (level B1).

Taxis

Official taxi ranks are located on the outdoor platforms of the arrivals level (Level 1) at both terminals.

• Types of service: Available in Regular (orange or silver), Deluxe (black with a gold stripe, offering more space and comfort) and Jumbo (for up to 9 passengers) categories.
• International Taxi: Specialised service for foreign travellers with drivers who speak English, Japanese or Chinese. These can be booked in advance or requested at the information desks on Level 1.

Fares and surcharges: The fare is calculated by taximeter, although fixed-rate schemes are available for certain districts of Seoul when using the international service. A night surcharge (between 20% and 40%) applies from 10:00 pm to 4:00 am. Motorway tolls (such as the Incheon Bridge toll) must be paid by the passenger.

Private Transfers and Call Van

The Call Van service offers door-to-door transport for groups or passengers with excess luggage. Service counters are located near gates 12 and 13 in Terminal 1, and near gate 7 in Terminal 2. Unlike regular taxis, this service may require advance booking or fare negotiation based on luggage volume.
