Buses

Bus stops are located in front of the check-in hall. Public and private transport services connect the airport with Gothenburg, Borås, Stockholm and other cities.

Vy flygbussarna (Airport Coaches): This is the main express coach service. It operates two routes from the airport:

• Route to Gothenburg City Centre (Nils Ericson Terminalen): Journey time is 20 minutes. Departure from stop 1.
• Route to Lindholmen via Mölndal and Frölunda Torg: Departure from stop 3.

Vy bus4you: Offers long-distance connections with a stop at the airport. Routes include Gothenburg, Borås, Jönköping, Linköping, Norrköping and Stockholm. Check timetables on the Bus4you website.

Taxis

The authorised taxi rank is located outside the arrivals hall. Swedavia works with specific companies that guarantee a maximum fare within a designated zone, as part of its environmental commitment (only eco-friendly vehicles operate).

Maximum Fare in Designated Zone: For journeys within the marked area, the maximum price per trip to a single address is SEK 725 (1–4 passengers) or SEK 1,045 (5–8 passengers). Outside this zone, the metered fare applies.

Recommendation: Always use a taxi company authorised by the airport. Do not accept offers from drivers inside the arrivals hall; only pre-booked vehicles are allowed to enter. If you choose a taxi without an airport contract, you risk paying an excessive fare.

Accessibility: You can request adapted taxis for passengers with reduced mobility. If you have a Färdtjänst card, contact them directly. Otherwise, request assistance at the taxi rank.

Practical Tips: Taxi fares in Sweden are deregulated, but all companies must display a comparative price in large black text on a yellow background. Always ask whether a fixed fare applies before starting the journey and make sure you receive the taximeter receipt at the end.

Car-sharing

The airport offers a car-sharing service M - Volvo Car Mobility. Through the app or a smart card, you can book and unlock the vehicle, providing a flexible option to continue your journey by road.
