Transfer to/from - Dubai airport (DXB)

Dubai Airport offers multiple transport alternatives that provide efficient connections between the airport complex and the city’s main financial, tourist and historic districts.

Metro

The automated train system Dubai Metro provides a fast and direct connection from the airport. The Red Line features stations integrated directly into the departures and arrivals areas of Terminal 1 and Terminal 3.

The service operates frequently during both daytime and night-time hours, connecting with key locations such as Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, World Trade Centre and the Emirates Towers in a journey of approximately 10 to 20 minutes. The stations are fully equipped for passengers travelling with luggage and offer direct connections with local bus stops and taxi services.

To use the metro, passengers are required to pay the fare using the Nol smart card, which can be purchased and topped up at the ticket offices and automatic vending machines located within the airport stations. Cash payments are not accepted on board the trains.

Buses

The RTA bus network connects the three terminals with various strategic points and districts throughout the city. Bus stops are located in front of the arrivals areas of each terminal. As with the metro, the use of a Nol card is mandatory for fare payment.

Some of the main routes include:

• Route C01: Connects the terminals with Union metro station and Al Satwa.
• Route 13B: Towards Gold Souq and Al Qusais.
• Route F55: Shuttle service linking the airport with the Ibn Battuta area.
• Routes 33 and 44: Services towards Al Ghubaiba and Al Rashidiya.

For passengers needing to transfer between Terminals 1, 2 and 3, there is a free shuttle bus service operating 24 hours a day.

Taxis and Ride-sharing

Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) taxi services are available 24 hours a day at the designated ranks outside each terminal. The vehicles are cream-coloured; those with pink roofs are driven by women and are intended exclusively for female passengers and families. Journeys from the airport have a fixed starting fare of approximately AED 25, to which the per-kilometre charge and tolls (Salik), if applicable, are added.

If you prefer private transport services through mobile applications, Uber, Careem and Bolt all operate at the airport. Pick-up points are clearly signposted in the car park areas or designated zones depending on the arrival terminal.
