Brussels South Airport, also known as Charleroi Airport and opened in 1919, is the second largest in the country. It operates with numerous flights inside Europe, Northern Africa, Israel and China.

The airport has ATMs, currency exchange bureaus (5:00 am to 9:00 pm), internet kiosks and free Wi-Fi access. The Lounge is found in the Departures area of Terminal 1 and across from gate 26 of Terminal 2; they open from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm and provide drinks, snacks, computers, Wi-Fi, newspapers, magazines, TV, air conditioning (accessible with Priority Pass, Lounge Club or Diners Club membership, through online booking or by paying at the door - €15.00).
Food and Drinks- Bars and fast food outlets before and after the security checkpoint of Terminal 1. Coffee shop in the boarding area of Terminal 2.
Shopping- Duty-free goods in the Departures Halls, confectioneries, newspapers, souvenirs, electronics, books, tobacco, accessories.
Baggage- Lockers outside the terminal, next to the taxi stands. Lost and found office outside the luggage recollection area, available from 5:30 am to 0:00 am (online form).
Other Services- Children's playground, travel agency, gas station.
Bus - Line A from TEC (Tel +32 7123 4115) is a direct service to and from Charleroi South station, with a journey time of 20 minutes and a fare of €2.50. It operates from 5:25 am to 10:25 pm.
Flibco (Tel +32 7021 1210) operates the Brussels City Shuttle, that provides transportation to the central terminal in Brussels (Bruxelles-Midi Brussel-Zuid) every 30 min. from 4:30 am to 1:00 am. Tickets cost €14.20 and the trip takes around 55 min. There are also buses to Lille, Luxemburg, Metz, Bastogne, Arlon, Thionville, Bruges and Ghent starting at €5.00. They leave from in front of entrance 1.
Train - You can reach any Belgian station by acquiring tickets from the vending machines located outside door 2. The fare includes the bus transfer from the airport to Charleroi South station. More information: Tel +32 2528 2828.
Taxi - Sympa-Tax (Tel +32 7130 3033), Rapid Tax (Tel +32 7131 5555), Idéal Tax (Tel +32 7143 0505 / 7136 5242), Taxis Carolo (Tel +32 7132 3232) and Taxi Europe (Tel +32 7147 8510) have vehicles around the clock outside the exit from the terminals. The trip to Charleroi takes 20 minutes, while to Brussels takes approximately 1 hour.
