Sármellék International Airport, also known as Héviz-Balaton Airport and opened in 1991, is one of the few international airstations in Hungary. Its importance relies in its closeness to Lake Balaton, one of the main tourist destinations in the country. It operates with international flights to several locations in Europe, especially in Germany.

Taxi - Cabs from Taxi Hévíz (Tel +36 8334 0333 / 8334 0045 / 305 553 410) available around the clock outside the terminal. The trip to the city centre takes around 10 minutes.
Next to the enclosure there is an office from Hertz (Tel +36 8354 0266), open Mondays through Fridays between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
There is a free parking lot opposite the terminal building, with spaces for short and long stays.
Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs during their stay at the airport should inform their airline or travel agency about their needs in advance. The service is free.
