Ljubljana airport (LJU)

Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport, opened on December 24, 1963, is the busiest in Slovenia and not only serves the area of the capital, but the entire country. It operates with several important destinations in Europe, Northern Africa and the Middle East.

The airport is located 26 km (16.2 miles) north from Ljubljana and 11 km (6.8 miles) to the east of Kranj.

Arriva (Tel +386 4201 3210) and Nomago (Tel +386 1431 7700) provide transportation between the airport and Ljubljana (approximately 45-minute journey; fare - €1.80), Kranj (30 min.; €3.10) and Kamnik (50 min.; €3.10).

Taxi

There are cabs opposite the terminal building. Service providers can be identified by special permits which they have placed under the windscreen. The trip to the city centre takes 25-35 minutes.
