José Martí International Airport, opened on February 24, 1930, is the main air terminal in Cuba. It operates with flights to destinations in the Caribbean, the American Continent, Europe and some locations in Africa and Asia. It also concentrates most domestic flights in the country.

Number of Terminals - 4 - Terminals 1 (domestic flights), 2 (charter flights to and from the United States), 3 (international flights) and 5 (Caribbean flights). Open 24 hours a day and connected to each other via a shuttle bus service.

The airport is located 18 km (11 miles) southwest from Havana.
Bus - Line P16 departs regularly from Terminal 1 to Terminal Santiago and Vedado, through Boyeros and Coppelia. Bus P12 goes through Terminal Santiago, Fontanar, Capdevila and Parque de la Fraternidad. Route P13 runs from Terminal Santiago to Parque de la Fraternidad, stopping at Calabazar, La Palma and the central train station. They do not have structured timetables and only accept local currency as payment.
Taxi - Metered vehicles are available 24 hours a day outside the terminals. The trip to the city centre takes between 20 and 30 minutes and costs around USD20.00-25.00.

Outdoor parking lots are available 150 meters away from the terminals.
Lifts are situated at various points of the airport, in addition to ramps, adapted toilets and accessible telephones. Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs should contact their airline or travel agency in advance.
