Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport, opened on May 2, 1974, is one of the busiest in Poland and serves the metropolitan area comprised by the cities of Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia. It operates with domestic destinations and international flights within Europe and the Middle East.

The airport is situated 12 km (7.5 miles) to the west of Gdansk, 10 km (6.2 miles) southwest from Sopot and 23 km (14.4 miles) to the south of Gdynia.See Map
The airport has ATMs, currency exchange bureau (6:00 am to 2:00 am), post office and Wi-Fi access free of charge for 15 minutes. The Hampton by Hilton hotel, situated next to the airport, has a business center with meeting rooms. The Executive Lounge is situated next to gates 11-18 of Terminal 2 and opens from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm; it offers air conditioning, bar, press, food, TV, Wi-Fi (accessible with Priority Pass, DragonPass or Diners Club membership, or by paying at the door).
Food and Drinks- Both in the Arrivals and Departures areas there are restaurants and coffee shops. Furore, in the Schengen departures area, is open 24 hours a day.
Shopping- Duty-free shops both before and after the security checkpoint, convenience store on the lower level, clothing, electronics, jewellery, souvenirs, newsagent, perfumes, cosmetics, accessories, toys.
