Transfer to/from - Bengaluru airport (BLR)

Ride-Hailing Apps

Uber, Ola, Namma Yatri and Quick Ride operate at the airport, with dedicated pick-up zones clearly signposted outside Terminals 1 and 2. To use the service, you must book a vehicle through the app on your mobile phone. Once the booking has been confirmed, the app will indicate the lane number or specific meeting point (generally in the P2 or P3 zones) where the driver will be waiting.

Buses

The Vayu Vajra service, operated by BMTC, provides air-conditioned public transport 24 hours a day, connecting the airport with the city's main areas through a modern fleet and frequent departures (every 30–60 minutes). The buses offer luggage space and passenger information screens. Main routes include:

• KIAB-4: Hebbal, Indiranagar, HAL, Whitefield.
• KIAB-5: Mekri Circle, Shanthinagar, Jayanagar, Banashankari.
• KIAB-6: Kadugodi, Hope Farm, Marathahalli.
• KIAB-7A: Shivajinagar, HSR Layout.
• KIAB-8: Electronic City, Chandapura.
• KIAB-9: Majestic (Kempegowda Bus Station).
• KIAB-10: Yeshwanthpur, Vijayanagar, Mysuru Road.
• KIAB-14: DLF Apartment, Billekahalli.

For long-distance journeys, the Flybus service operated by KSRTC provides intercity transfers to destinations such as Mysuru, Madikeri, Kundapura, Coimbatore and Salem. These luxury coaches depart from the arrivals level and feature onboard amenities such as Wi-Fi and GPS tracking.

Trains

The airport has its own suburban railway station, Kempegowda International Airport Halt Station (KIGL). The airport provides a complimentary shuttle bus service linking Terminals 1 and 2 with the railway station in approximately 10 minutes, coordinated with train arrival and departure times. From this station, Indian Railways services connect to Majestic (KSR Bengaluru), Cantonment and Yesvantpur.

Taxis

Two types of official services are available 24 hours a day:

Official Taxis (KSTDC): Metered vehicles available from the arrivals counters. There is also a service known as Pink Taxis, driven by women and intended exclusively for female passengers or families, equipped with panic buttons and GPS tracking.

Fares and Journey Times: The journey to the city centre usually takes between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Please note that a 10% night surcharge is applied to the metered fare for journeys made between 12:00 am and 6:00 am. Payment can be made in cash, by debit/credit card, or through local payment apps.
