Billund Airport, opened on November 1, 1964, serves the city of the same name (where the Legoland theme park is located) and is one of the busiest in the country. It operates with international flights to several destinations in Europe. It is also one of the most important cargo terminals in the continent.

The airport has currency exchange bureaus (7:00 am to 11:30 pm), ATMs, meeting rooms, public telephones and free Wi-Fi access. The King Amlet Lounge is situated on the third floor and opens from 4:45 am to 9:45 pm (until 8:00 pm on Saturdays); it provides a smoking area, newspapers and magazines, computers, Wi-Fi, conference facilities, refreshments, drinks, fax, TV, showers, telephones (accessible with Priority Pass, Lounge Club, DragonPass or Diners Club membership, or by paying at the door).
Food and Drinks- There is a coffee shop on the ground floor, while on the third floor there are restaurants and fast food outlets.
Shopping- Duty-free items on the second level, clothing, handicrafts, LEGO products, kiosk.

Bus - Several services depart from in front of the terminal. Midttrafik (Tel +45 7021 0230) operates line 912X headed for Vejle, Horsens, Skanderborg and Aarhus. It operates Mondays through Fridays from between 8:00 am and 2:30 am, Saturdays from 10:00 am to 1:00 am and Sundays from 8:00 am to 1:00 am.
There are also buses from Sydtrafik (Tel +45 7010 4410) to the city centre, with a journey time of around 10 min. Around the passenger terminal there are several covered and outdoor areas for short- and long-term parking, in addition to spaces for bicycles.
