Ride-sharing
An alternative means of transport is to use the
Uber app to request a ride to your final destination. Pick-up points often vary without prior notice, so it is recommended that you follow the instructions directly from the app to find your driver.
Bus
STB (Tel +40 219 391) operates several services from the airport between 4:00 am and 11:00 pm, at 10-20 minute intervals.
- 131: Gara Baneasa, Piata Presei, Arcul de Triumf, Piata Charles de Gaulle, Piata Dorobanti, Piata Lahovari, Piata Romana.
- 335: Complex Comercial Baneasa, Piata Dorobanti, Vasile Lascar, Bucur Obor, Piata Piata Iancului, Sarafinesti, Faur.
- 112: Pipera, Piata Baneasa, Nuferilor, Dridu, Complex Comercial Colosseum.
- 301: Piata Romana, Piata Dorobanti, Piata Charles de Gaulle, Piata Baneasa, Jolie Ville Baneasa.
The 783 express service also runs to the city centre, with stops at Piata Presei Libre, Piata Victoriei, Piata Romana, Piata Unirii and Henri Coanda Airport. The journey takes about 30 min. and the bus stop is located in front of the airport.
Tram
Line 5 from
STB (Tel +40 219 391) connects the airport with the city centre from 5:35 am to 11:16 pm, at 10-20 min. intervals. Intermediate stops include Apicola, Maguricea, Soseaua Pipera, Soseaua Stefan cel Mare, Piata Gemeni, Batistei and Piata Sf. Gheorghe.
Metro
Metrorex M2 service (Tel +40 213 193 601) runs from Pipera to Aurel Vlaicu station between 5:00 am and 11:00 pm, and then on to Piata Victoriei, Piata Romana, Piata Unirii, Tineretului, Eroii Revolutiei, Piata Sudului and Berceni.
Taxi
You can order vehicles from
Taxi Bucharest (Tel +40 745 460 010) and
Taxi 2000 (Tel +40 723 949 494). The journey to the city centre takes about 15 minutes and costs about €7.00-9.00.
