El Nouzha Airport, also known as Alexandria International Airport and opened in 1947, is one of the busiest in Egypt, especially regarding domestic flights. It is currently closed for renovations and all its air traffic has been transferred to Borg El Arab Airport, except for some flights for the oil industry.

Bus - A service leaves every hour from the airport to the city centre and the bus terminal, located opposite El Raml Square.
Taxi - Vehicles available inside the parking area of the enclosure. Authorized cabs are painted yellow and black. A trip to the city centre takes about 25 minutes.
The parking area is situated in front of the terminal building.
Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs are advised to notify their airline about their particular needs at the time of their booking.
