Requirements for Hiring a Vehicle
To hire a car at the airport, the following general requirements usually apply:
- Valid Driving Licence: You must present an original and valid driving licence. For non-EU residents, an International Driving Permit (IDP) may be required in addition to the national licence.
- Minimum Age: Most companies require a minimum age of 21. Drivers under 25 may be subject to an additional young driver surcharge.
- Credit Card in the Main Driver’s Name: A valid main credit card is required for the security deposit and rental payment. Debit or prepaid cards are not accepted for the deposit.
- Identification: A valid form of ID, such as a passport, may be required.
- Booking Confirmation: Although not always mandatory, it is advisable to carry a printed or digital copy of your booking confirmation.
