Tripoli airport (TIP)

Tripoli International Airport, opened in 1934, is the most important in Libya. In 2014 the airport was damaged as part of the Libyan civil war, so many flights and services were suspended and relocated to Mitiga International Airport. In 2017 it was reopened for limited commercial use.

The airport is located in Qasr bin Ghashir, 34 km (21 miles) to the south of the city of Tripoli.
