Sleeping inside or in nearby hotels (SNN)

Possibility to spend the night at Shannon airport (SNN), if open 24 hours. Services available, places to rest (free resting zones), or look for the list of nearby hotels and vip lounges.

Overnight layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic, all regular services and hours may be subject to change. Thus, if the idea is to spend the night in the public area, consider a plan B in case the stay inside the airport is only allowed for those who are close to boarding.
Spending the night at the airport

Shannon airport is small and is open 24 hours a day. Keep in mind that the terminal can be pretty cold at night, so it is recommended to have a sleeping bag or blankets.

Where to rest: You can find padded seats on the first floor, opposite the boarding gates. In addition, there are comfortable benches between the elevators. Another option is to enter one of the VIP lounges, where you can access more amenities and privacy, although they close at night. In front of the terminal there is also a hotel.

Baggage: There is a left-luggage service, but it is only available from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm.

Eating and drinking: In the Departures Hall there is a bar that remains open during the night.

Restrooms: Showers available inside the VIP lounges, but not inside the public toilets.

Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.

Other services available around the clock: ATM, baby changing facilities, children's playgrounds.
