Piarco International Airport, opened on January 8, 1931, is the busiest in Trinidad and Tobago. It receives flights from the entire Caribbean, the United States, Canada, Panama and some destinations in South America and Europe.

The airport is located in the city of Piarco, 20 km (12.4 miles) to the southeast of Port of Spain.

What services does Piarco airport (POS) facilities include

The airport has a bank (9:00 am to 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm), ATMs, currency exchange bureaus (24 hours a day), plugs for electronic devices, mobile phone services and Wi-Fi access free of charge. The VIP Flyers' Club lounge opens from 4:30 am to 10:00 pm and is situated on the ground floor, after the duty-free area; the maximum stay is 3 hours and it provides TV, air conditioning, newspapers, magazines, conference facilities, fax, refreshments, drinks, telephones (access with Priority Pass, Lounge Club or Diners Club membership).

Food and Drinks- Restaurants, coffee shops, bars and fast food outlets on the first level and the top floor, with some options open 24 hours a day.
Shopping- There are duty-free shops on the first floor of the Departures area, in addition to stores selling handicrafts, books, gifts, jewellery, press, music, electronics, tobacco, liquor, flowers.
Baggage- Porters and trolleys outside the Customs and Departures areas. Left luggage service next to the exit from the Customs Hall. For enquiries about missing luggage, head to the counter of the corresponding airline.

Public and private transportation

Bus - Services from PTSC (Tel +868 623 2341) to the city that depart from the Arrivals area. They operate every 15 minutes from Monday to Friday between 6:30 am and 8:15 pm and journey time is around 30 min. Tickets can be acquired across from Ali's Candy, next to the west staircase, on the ground floor. Timetables and fares
