Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, opened on May 1, 1985, is the most important in Indonesia and one of the busiest in Southeast Asia. It handles most domestic flights in the country and also operates with international destinations in Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Oceania.

Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs are advised to inform their airline about their needs prior to their travel. The enclosure has basic facilities for disabled passengers, including lifts inside the terminals.
