Trieste-Friuli Venezia Giulia Airport, also known as Ronchi dei Legionari or Pietro Savorgnan di Brazzà Airport and opened on December 2, 1961, serves the northeast area of Italy, in addition to parts of Slovenia and Croatia. It operates with domestic flights and some international destinations within Europe.

The airport has ATMs, post office and free Wi-Fi access. On the upper level there are meeting and conference rooms. Bus - There are several services from APT Gorizia (Tel +39 481 593 511). Line 51 runs to downtown Duino, Sistiana, Grignano/Miramare and Piazza Libertà, in Trieste, with a fare of €4.05 and a journey time of 50 minutes. It operates from 6:00 am to 11:30 pm. The bus also travels to Udine (€4.75; 55 min.) and Monfalcone (€1.25; 10-15 min.) On the other hand, lines 1 and 26 go to the intermodal passenger center in Gorizia (€3.30; 30 min.), Monfalcone, Cervignano, Aquileia and Grado (€3.30; 1 hour). Tickets can be purchased at the vending machines located in the Arrivals Hall and in front of the bus stops, or at the tourist information counter. In the terminal of Trieste you can make connections to destinations in Slovenia and Croatia, while buses and trains depart from Udine Station to different locations (Pordenone, Venice, Austria).

Train - The airport station is connected to the terminal through a walkway. Trains from Trenitalia (Tel +39 668 475 475) depart from there to Trieste Central Station (30 minutes; €4.15), Udine and Venice (1 hour and 40 min.; €11.00).
Taxi - Cabs from Taxi Aeroporto FVG (Tel +39 481 778 000 / 389 968 1210) available outside the passenger terminal between 8:00 am and 0:00 am. The trip to the city centre takes around 25 minutes.

There are reserved parking spaces, a special waiting room, adapted toilets, elevators, Braille signage, tactile pathways for the visually-impaired and an ambulift to board and disembark from the airplane. There is also especially trained staff to assist passengers with reduced mobility. To that end, you should contact your airline or travel agency at least 48 hours before your arrival. Children up to the age of 15 travelling alone will be escorted by the airport staff through all necessary procedures.
