Spending the night at the airport
Berlin Schönefeld airport operates with numerous flights and connections, so there is usually movement during the night and early morning. Facilities are old, so it is not very comfortable for resting. In addition, some of the terminals are very cold and others are hot, so you have to be prepared. It is important to have your passport and tickets handy.
Where to rest: Few seats are available, and these are made of metal, but they do not have armrests, with more options in the public area. On the other hand, there are padded benches in the restaurant of Terminal D. The third floor of Terminal B is usually quieter at night. Entering the airport's VIP lounge you can access more amenities, but it closes until the next morning. Alternatively, many hotels in the surroundings offer transfers for their guests.
Baggage: Left-luggage service in the Arrivals Hall of Terminal D, from 7:30 am to 11:30 pm (Saturdays from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm).
Eating and drinking: There are options open 24 hours a day only in Terminal A.
Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock: Baby care facilities, chapel, photo booth, ATMs, currency exchange bureau.
Near the enclosure you can find several accommodations, some of them with complimentary shuttle service to and from the airport.
