Passenger guide - Ciudad Guayana airport (PZO) 

 

Manuel Carlos Piar International Airport, also known as Puerto Ordaz Airport and opened in the 1960's, is an important air terminal in Venezuela. It serves the urban area of Ciudad Guayana and the state of Bolívar. It operates with regular domestic flights to Caracas, Porlamar and Barcelona and a few charters.

The airport is found 15 km (9 miles) to the southwest of the city centre, in Puerto Ordaz, Caroní Municipality, part of the metropolitan area that makes up Ciudad Guayana.

Taxi - There are cabs operated by Cooperativa Aeropuerto Manuel Carlos Piar (Tel +58 286 714 5471) and Cooperativa Manuel Carlos Piar (Tel +58 416 687 8629) outside the public area. The trip to the city centre takes 25-35 minutes.

The airport has banks, ATMs, currency exchange bureau and public telephones. The Premier Club lounge opens from 5:00 am to 8:00 pm and is located on the upper level, to the left of the boarding area; the maximum stay is 3 hours and it offers TV, air conditioning, telephones, fax, computers, snacks, newspapers and magazines, Wi-Fi (accessible with Priority Pass or Lounge Club membership).

There is a rated, outdoor car park in front of the terminal.

 

Special passengers (persons with reduced mobility or visually/hearing-impaired, pregnant women, elderly, unaccompanied children) are advised to arrange the proper services with their air company at least 48 hours in advance.
