Capitán FAP José Abelardo Quiñones Gonzáles International Airport, opened on April 16, 1956, serves the city of Chiclayo, the Lambayeque department and most of the northern region of the country. It operates with domestic and international flights to Panama, and is used as support for Lima Airport when under bad weather conditions.

Inside the passenger terminal there are offices from Hertz (Tel +51 74 453 304 - Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 am to 11:30 pm, weekends from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm).
The Caral VIP Lounge, available only for domestic flights, is located to the right after the security check and opens from 6:00 am to 0:00 am, with a maximum stay of 4 hours; it provides computers, refreshments, drinks, TV, air conditioning, newspapers and magazines, Wi-Fi (accessible with Priority Pass or Diners Club membership, through online booking or by paying at the door - USD25.00).
Food and Drinks- A few restaurants are available inside the terminal.
Shopping- Options are limited to gift shops and souvenir stands.
Baggage- Enquiries about missing luggage should be directed to the desk of the corresponding airline.
Taxi - Ranks are located outside the terminal. Journey time to downtown Chiclayo is around 10 minutes.
The parking lot is located opposite the terminal building and is uncovered.
