Alfredo Rodríguez Ballón International Airport, opened on August 15, 1979, is one of the main air terminals in Peru and serves most of the south region of the country. It mainly operates with national flights.

Tel: +51 54 344 834. The information counter is found next to the Arrivals Hall and operates from Sunday to Thursday between 6:15 am and 9:45 pm, and from 12:00 pm to 9:45 pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Location

The airport is located 8 km (5 miles) to the northwest of Arequipa city centre.

There is a car rental office from Hertz (Tel +51 959 923 511) inside the terminal, operating Mondays through Fridays between 7:00 am and 8:00 pm.

The airport has a bank, ATMs, currency exchange bureaus and Wi-Fi access free of charge. The Sala Misti lounge is situated in the Domestic Departures Hall, on the first floor, and opens from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm; it offers air conditioning, newspapers and magazines, Wi-Fi, TV, snacks, drinks (access with Priority Pass or Diners Club membership, through online booking or by paying at the door - USD18.00).

Food and Drinks- There is a restaurant and a coffee shop on the first level.
Shopping- On both levels of the terminal you can find stores selling clothing, handicrafts, souvenirs, sweets, beverages, electronics, perfumes, accessories.
Baggage- In case of damaged or lost luggage, head to the offices of the appropriate airline or the general information desk (Tel +51 54 344 834).
Other Services- Pharmacy, first aid room.

 

Taxi - Ranks are located outside the terminal and there is an authorized taxi booth in the Arrivals Hall to make enquiries and reservations. A trip to the city centre has a cost of around USD8.00 and takes 30 minutes.

 

The parking area is located in front of the main building, is uncovered and operates between 6:00 am and 10:00 pm. It has permanent security staff, car wash services and mechanic help. Rates

 

The enclosure has ramps, adapted toilets and reserved parking spaces. Passengers requiring special assistance should arrange the proper services with their airline.
