Bogotá airport (BOG)

El Dorado International Airport, opened on December 10, 1959, serves the city of Bogotá and is the busiest in the country. It concentrates most domestic flights and operates with destinations throughout America and the main locations in Europe. It is also the most important cargo airport in Latin America, having one of the world's largest landing strips.

Number of Terminals - 2 - Terminal 1 (national and international flights) and Terminal 2 (domestic flights), open 24 hours a day. They are connected through a free satellite bus departing every 20 minutes and running between 5:00 am and 11:00 pm.
Annual passenger traffic: 31 million passengers went through it in 2017.

The airport is located 15 km (9 miles) to the west of Bogotá.

BusTransMilenio (Tel +57 1 220 3000) is a rapid bus service (K86) that links the airport with downtown Bogotá, stopping at Corferias, Plaza de la Democracia, National Museum, Universidad Distrital, Barrio Chapinero, Barrio Porciúncula, La Gran Vía Park and Fundación Santa Fe. You can get to them via feeder buses departing opposite the main terminal (door 6) to the Portal El Dorado Station (Mondays through Fridays from 4:30 am to 10:45 pm, Saturday from 6:00 am to 10:45 pm, Sunday from 6:00 am to 9:45 pm).
Route Alimentadora 16 -14 runs over the airport area, with no charge until Portal de Transmilenio El Dorado (Monday to Saturday from 5:00 am to 10:45 pm, Sunday from 6:00 am to 9:45 pm).
Route P500 departs from door 7 of Terminal 1 towards Villa del Mar, Portal Eldorado, Modelia, Normandía, Parque Metropolitano Simón Bolívar, Parque de los Novios, Barrio Colombia, Barrio San Felipe, Barrio Porciúncula and Barrio El Chicó. Journey time is 35-40 minutes. Monday to Saturday from 4:00 am to 11:00 pm, Sundays from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm.
On the other hand, from door 9 leave several buses to other locations, while outside gate 5 there are private minibus services 24 hours a day.

Taxi - Yellow and white cabs from Taxi Imperial (Tel +57 317 300 3000) are available around the clock outside both terminals. Counters are located in the Arrivals Halls and the trip to the city centre takes 25-35 minutes.

Centro - The largest area, over the main access road and with direct link to the Arrivals and Departures areas.
Sur - It is located close to door 1 of Terminal 1.
Ajucax - Single parking lot located next to Terminal 2, over 26 Street.
CAC - Near the cargo terminals.
CISA - It is found close to the airport's administrative offices.


The enclosure has access ramps and reserved parking spaces. Passengers requiring special assistance are advised to contact their airline before their arrival.
