Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport, also known as Santiago-Pudahuel Airport and opened on February 9, 1967, serves the metropolitan area of the capital of Chile and the entire country. In addition to numerous domestic flights, it operates with international destinations in America, Europe and Oceania. It is considered one of the most modern in the world.

Number of Terminals - 2 - National Terminal and International Terminal. Open 24 hours a day, located inside the same building and linked to each other through elevators, walkways and stairs.
Annual passenger traffic: Around 19.2 million passengers went through it in 2016.

The airport is located 17 km (11 miles) to the northwest of the city of Santiago.

Bus - TurBus Aeropuerto (Tel +56 2 2822 7744/7748 / 600 660 6600) operates every 10 minutes from 5:00 am to 0:00 am and every 30 min. from 0:30 am to 4:30 am. It runs to Terminal Alameda and Terminal Pajaritos. Centropuerto (Tel +56 2 2601 9883 / 0549) offers services every 10 min. between 6:00 am and 11:30 pm to Los Héroes metro station, stopping at Barrancas, Pajaritos, Las Rejas, San Alberto Hurtado, Santiago University, Central Station, Unión Latinoamericana and República. There are also buses to Maipú on working days at 5:55 pm, 6:25 pm and 6:55 pm, with stops at Laguna Sur, Los Mares, El Descanso, Hugo Bravo, Alto Jahuel, Los Pajaritos and Portales Av. Journey time to the city centre is 30-40 min. Departures from gate 5. Many buses depart from Pajaritos and Alameda terminals towards the main destinations in Chile. On the other hand, in the Arrivals Halls there are door-to-door minibus services 24 hours a day between the airport and several destinations inside the city. Taxi - In the Arrivals Halls there are counters (Tel +56 2 4222 5278) where you can hire basic cabs (yellow and black), which operate with a meter, and tourism taxis (blue), with a fixed fare per destination. Journey time to the city centre is around 20 minutes.

The airport has a bank, ATMs, currency exchange bureaus, post office, VIP lounges, public telephones, mobile phone services, charging stations and free Wi-Fi access.

Food and Drinks- There is a large variety of restaurants, fast food outlets, confectioneries, coffee shops and bars inside the grounds. Gatsby, Pronto Copec, Bakery & Co., Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks and Patagonia Café are open 24 hours a day.
Shopping- Duty-free shops on the first and third levels of the International Terminal, minimarkets, cosmetics, perfumes, music, electronics, liquor, toys, handicrafts, souvenirs, jewellery, clothing, accessories.
Baggage- Free luggage trolleys in both terminals. Left luggage facility around the clock on the first level, gate 1 (Tel +56 2 2690 1313). 24-hour secure plastic wrapping on the third and fourth levels (Tel +56 2 2690 1136).
