Presidente Carlos Ibáñez del Campo International Airport, opened in 1950, is the most important in the XII Region of Magallanes and one of the busiest in southern Chile. It operates with domestic flights and some international destinations in Argentina.

Location

The airport is located 20 km (12.4 miles) to the north of the city of Punta Arenas.

The airport has ATMs and free Wi-Fi access. In front of gate 2, on the second floor, you can find the Salones VIP Pacific Club lounge, open 24 hours a day; the maximum stay is 6 hours and it offers computers, snacks, newspapers, magazines, TV, beverages, telephones, fax (accessible with Priority Pass, Lounge Club or Diners Club membership, through online booking or by paying at the door - USD50.00).
